Raising successful kids takes a village. Actually, it takes a community…
“Recognizing that an investment in early childhood has a high return including lower incarceration rates, increased productivity and a healthy workforce, area business leaders want to do their part by focusing on employees with children birth to five years of age. Led by a core team of ‘business champions’ in Douglas County, Business Champions for Kids is reaching out to all employers to educate, engage and provide resources on family friendly practices to benefit families and their bottom line.”
Biz4Kids was an idea originally dreamed up by a local kid. Go figure. The project was handed off to a non-profit group in Roseburg, floundered for a few years, then got picked up by Douglas ESD, the Educational Services District in Douglas County. The person heading it up is a real go getter and found grant money to redesign the website to make it a real marketing and information tool for the program. The redesign took a year or so and the website has been handed over to them nearly 100% for maintenance and updates.
They are doing a fantastic job keeping the site fresh and up to date!
The website has a few notable features.
- A fully custom design using Elementor Page Builder
- A sponsor logo carousel that’s completely drag-n-drop for editing
- A custom logo that was integrated into the header, the banner and the favicon
- And overview page with custom ribbons (provided by ESD) and a horizontal layout of columns with different amounts of data
